I am happy to discuss a number of things with you, including employment opportunities, projects (mine, yours, or collaborative), pedagogy, music, activism, and more. Just contact me at micah.j.bailey@gmail.com.
But, since I am on the job market, let me summarize what I have to offer.
As a colleague, I offer someone with a wide range of philosophical interests and, hence, someone who can offer constructive feedback on array of topics. I offer someone who is open to collaboration and open to constructive feedback. I offer someone who is polite, respectful, and earnest in performing well. I offer someone who is self-motivated, someone who teaches himself new technologies, and someone who is happy to teach his colleagues these technologies; for instance, I taught myself how to make lecture videos and host them on YouTube, and, in order to make this website, I taught myself how to host a website and create one.
As a scholar, I, again, offer someone with a wide range of philosophical interests. I offer someone with an ever-expanding research program. And I offer someone who believes that philosophers should communicate (at least some of) their work in a manner accessible to the general public.
As a teacher, I offer someone who tailors his courses to teach students skills that are not only necessary for practicing good philosophy, but are useful in their professional and personal lives. I offer someone dedicated to mentoring students, respecting students, and being a valuable resource to help them grow. I offer someone who is dedicated to communicating the importance of philosophy and attracting new philosophy students.
